t’s been a busy week for garden parties at Buckingham Palace, with King Charles hosting one earlier in the week on Wednesday. But on Friday, the monarch stepped aside to allow the Prince and Princess of Wales to take centre stage.
William and Catherine weren’t the only royals to attend the party, as they were joined by the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, alongside their royal cousin, Zara Tindall.
This is the second time that the royal couple have led the festivities at Buckingham Palace, with the pair hosting a garden party in 2025. At the time, the pair chose to honour those who had made a positive contribution to their communities, including the family of the late Liz Hatton, whom they had met previously at Windsor Castle.
This time, the party will pay tribute to those affiliated with the patronages, military affiliations and personal projects of the royal couple. Among the guests invited to the Palace are Rhian Mannings, the founder of 2wish, which supports bereaved families and Sam Stables, the founder of We Are Farming Minds, a charity that works to address the stigmas around mental health in the farming community.

Zara was making her 2026 debut at a Buckingham Palace garden party, and the daughter of Princess Anne looked sensational in her blue dress.
